Application Process
These are the steps involved in our microloan application process.
Step I:
- If you are interested in the City of San Francisco Revolving Loan Fund, please review the details about the program. Then contact Agnes Cheung 415-655-5471 or Sandy Mackovich at 415-655-5472 to discuss your business and determine eligibility. We will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours. We suggest you wait to hear if your project is eligible before completing the application.
- If you are a Bay Area business interested in our general microloan program, you will begin by contacting Agnes Cheung 415-655-5471 or Sandy Mackovich at 415-655-5472 to discuss your businessto discuss your business and determine eligibility. We will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours. We suggest you wait to hear if your project is eligible before completing the application.
Step II:
- Submit your business plan (startups) or executive summary (existing businesses) for review by Working Solutions
- Submit your Driver's License and a completed Credit Authorization Form for Working Solutions to run your personal credit report
Step III:
- Complete the microloan application forms and submit all requested documentation along with a nonrefundable $25 application fee
Step IV:
- Working Solutions conducts a site visit to your business
- Working Solutions analyzes the package, asks for any additional information needed, asks questions about your project, and determines if the loan application is approved or not
Step V:
- If a loan request is approved, Working Solutions prepares the loan documents and meets with the applicant to fund the loan
- If a loan request is declined, applicant receives a written decline letter
Timing: 1 Month
- From the time we receive a completed loan application with all of the requested information, it takes 7 to 10 days to receive a decision as to whether your loan request was approved or not
- If your loan is approved, it takes an additional 1 to 3 weeks to fund your loan
