Small Business Panel with Rep. Nancy Pelosi
On August 25, 2011, Working Solutions, Women's Initiative, and 8 women entrepreneurs had the privilege of meeting with Representative Nancy Pelosi to celebrate the success of women-owned businesses in the Bay Area. The panel was held at Casa Bonampak, located at 1051 Valencia Street in San Francisco.
Congresswoman Pelosi listened as topics like childcare, work-life balance, job creation, local manufacturing, health care, exporting abroad, and credit options were discussed. The Leader of the Democratic House related her own story of raising five children while being a working professional to the stories of the 8 entrepreneurs.

18 Rabbits: Alison Bailey Vercruysse grew up making delicious, home-made granola in her Mom's kitchen. She started 18 Rabbits in 2005, and quickly grew to a product line of granola, granola bars, and mini bars, in flavors like Haute Diggity Date, Funky Figs & Cherries, Nibblin' Apricot, and Belle Banana Foster.
